The Lady Comets took on a fierce Beavercreek course on Thursday that was firm and fast all around in the SW District tournament. The course gave up nothing easy as all the teams struggled to go deep. At the end of the day a few putts made the difference as the top tree state qualifying teams were separated by only two strokes the Comets landing third after losing the tie breaker – 315 East, 317 Centerville, and 317 Mason.
Mason scoring was led by a trio of Comets with Sophomore Ally Madden, Junior Catherine Zhang and Junior Maddie Heister all posting 79 followed closely by teammate Sophomore Demi Xie at 80. While they were all looking for the district title, they are excited to be on plan, returning to state for another shot at bringing home a championship.
